Get into the holiday spirit by making a fun and easy farmhouse rustic DIY Christmas countdown sign!

Okay, so maybe my last post about farmhouse Christmas cards began what has turned into a slippery slope to full blown Christmas insanity.

I took my little brood of whiners children to Michaels last night and was totally sucked into the glitter and greenery and unfinished wood ornaments.

I mean, according to my countdown there’s only 40 days until Christmas!

Oh, right.  This post is about the countdown to Christmas sign not my impending obsession with all things Christmas.

So, back to that!

I couldn’t resist the urge to make something Christmas.  And it seemed like a Christmas countdown sign was appropriate plus a fun excuse to delve back into farmhouse DIYs (after the past 6 weeks of the One Room Challenge).

You guys, this little sign was SO easy to make and can be completely personalized based on what paper you choose to decoupage to the sign.

I couldn’t resist unpacking a few Christmas tree bulbs.  I mean can you even resist the gold sparkle??

And that sweet felt tree garland I got from Target a few years ago.  It’s one of my favorite decorations!

I Love it Sara, what a great idea! After your Christmas card post and now this, I can’t wait to start decorating. You are motivating you mother-in-law to get moving and thinking about Christmas.

Countdowns are so fun! We have a few that the kids can play with and at least one that shows the actual countdown. 😉
